Why would anyone give a thought to what other people want you to do? Voting should be compulsory (as we have in Australia) and should be done by researching each parties policies and each candidates qualifications and policy statements and policital history. Then one decides who is best for the position - obviously one would hope that someone with an IQ lower than most would be eliminated, looking at the leader you have currently this obviously is not always the case.

I do not agree with this. I do not believe that just because I am a white woman I have to vote for Hillary. I know that there is an expectation that I would because people believe that a woman president would make my life better. That is not the case. If a woman is elected and she sucks I am worse off because then people assume all women are incompetent..

In order for the country to be the best it can be one should not look at what the person is the person that the voter feels is best qualified should be voted for rather than the party, race, or gender. The problem we have in this country today is that we quit electing statesmen and started elected politicians. Statesmen look at the issue and decide what to do based upon their convictions and politicians look at the same issue and decide what to do based on whether or not it is going to benefit them at some future time.

No, no longer unavoidably. some human beings intentionally abstain from balloting to make a political assertion. of path, that may no longer what i might do through fact i like to vote, yet there's a controversy to be made that sitting out of the technique has some benefit, besides.

No I do not agree. If those I talk to and this board is any indicator I would say most women do not like Hillary.
Is Barrack black?
You can ask for votes, it does not mean you will get them.

People should never vote for a candidate simply because of race or gender. Vote for who you think can get the job done.

there are black groups who support Hillary and women's groups who support Obama

it's not as shallow in the Liberal end of the pool. We support those who earn our support.

I'm a white male. Whether or not a person's skin color or genitalia matches my own doesn't generally factor into my voting decision.

Unfortunately, it does for a lot of really stupid people.

If the appeal is based on vote for me because I look like you, that's racist and sexist.
