1. Not to talk about my best friend's daughter (she is like a niece to me)
2. Not to be so involved with my best friend's life
3. Not to mention that I got to my best friend's mum's for sunday lunch in his house as it is disrespectful
4. Not to be insecure when he talks to other women (i'm not)
5. To make more of an effort when it comes to my appearance. I wear make up every day (not heavy unless i am going out and my hair always looks nice, I wear nice clothes etc).
Its his birthday on Sunday, who thinks the greatest gift I could give him being dumped?

He's not accepting you for who you are..and that isn't right. He's trying to play the big man and calling the shots, but that isn't how a relationship works.
From what you have said, I think you should dump him on his birthday, and make a scene of it too - make him look a fool, because he is one.
