If you win 2 in a row, are you on a winning streak? Or do you have to get 3 in a row for it to technically count as a streak?

2 is a streak. Because one is just a game. Two you have more than one.

2 games in a row is a start for a streak, whether winning or losing.
Winning 11 in a row is awesome for any team. Losing 14 in a row as in Miami, it's suicide. Miami lost their last 3 regular season games last year and picked up where they left off with an additional 11 straight loses this year. Way to go Miami.

3 wins is a streak. 2 losses is a slide, 3 is a losing streak.
