I hear alot of talk about how Iran is planning to make an atom bomb, but It's been crossing my mind alot lately. It may take a few years for them to perfect it, but What will the U.S. and the World do if the Iranians actually do make a nuclear bomb? Will we actually do anything about it?

Note: I'm not talking about this administration being in charge when this happens, I'm talking about a few years down the road.

It's not hard to make an atom bomb, quite easy actually (do a google search and you can find the plans and processes). One Atom bomb cant do much damage though (on a global scale) and processing the Uranium takes a LOT of time. Likely they would try to hold a country ransom, and find themselves occupied within a week because of it. That's basically what happened with Iraq, except someone forgot mention they had no weapons.

Uranium enrichment usually takes a large facility as well, like one you can see from sat images. Someone would probably notice before a weapon was finished, and a bomb wouldn't come to completion.

If Iran builds a nuclear bomb, they actually become a country worthy of diplomatic relations rather than the UN security council members threatening to sanction them at every turn.
They'll actually be a country of people, rather than viewed as a country of oil wells.

The whole problem with Iran building a nuke, isn't about Israel, even though it sells it as a bad idea to a lot of Christians. The real problem, is it is speculated that Iran will use their nuclear weapons to influence the oil market, and demanding a higher price for oil than it already is.
This has been the threat of this sitaution since the 60's and 70's. If anyone bothers to do enough research on the matter, they would see that the real fear is oil being held "hostage".

Do you think Egypt or Jordan is going to appreciate anyone dropping nukes on Israel, with them being that close?
get real!
If Iran wanted nukes, they could have already had them from the pakistani scientist that was running a blackmarket nuclear arms ring across the entire middle east.

Iran could probably have easy access to a nuclear bomb if needed, like if we attack them and psss off some of their friends or allies that have nukes.
But for them to get the bomb to use offensively, I think we are far enough away to be able to detect anything coming over the Atlantic, but Israel could be targeted "just for fun" by some kind of insane religious fanatic leaders in Iran. I'd like Israel to survive, actually. It's the only country with some liberal personal freedoms in that area..
I'm not worried about us here, though.

confident. Iran has chanced on a international chief it rather is wrapped up in his very own ego to the factor he would not understand what's proper. This egotistical chief is Obama. Obama will lead the international into believing Russia & France will actual save Iran in verify from producing a Nuclear Weapon. that's like enjoying cards, Iran is barely showing some enjoying cards to maintain all and sundry on the table for speaking. whilst the pot is super-unfold, a nuclear weapon, it is going to likely be too late to tension Iran to fold. -

Well, America had nuclear bombs, and nobody told them they couldn't have them. Russia had nuclear bombs, and nobody told them they couldn't have them.

The problem actually is that white people in western countries still seem to think that people who aren't white, and who don't live in western countries, are incapable of rational human thought. THey seem to believe that only white people in western countries would be smart enough and have enough self control to possess nuclear weapons as a deterrent to other countries performing military actions against them.

So I guess if Iran makes an Atom Bomb, we'll all find out. I think they will make a bomb, but being rational human beings, I don't think they'll actually use it.

It wont take too long and they will have a bomb and they will not need an airplane to deliver it because there are countries willing to sell then missiles big enough to carry a war head to Europe and maybe to the US.

Goonhilda: India and Pakistan both have nuclear weapons, and they're both allies of the US. I can't remember....are they white westerners?

Goonhilda gave an extremely racist response. He/she should be ashamed.

Then we wait for them to develop an airplane that can carry it and avoid radar detection. That should keep them busy for a few years.
