It certainly seems that we retain something of a "Memory" when we are born, what it is, is uncertain, but how do we explain a child's knowledge of suckling it's mother! Who taught it to do that? After all! the child has never used it's mouth all the time it's been in the womb! So where does the knowledge come from? How does a baby joey know the way to it's mothers breast? It's a long journey! No one Say's to it "Right! you go straight up there and it's the first on the left!" And remember! it cannot see, it's blind! So where do we get the information from to perform specific acts in order to survive? Have a great day.

That is not really a philosophical question but a religious one. If you want to believe in it, the answer will be "Sure. Why not. We have religious freedom.". If you are looking for evidence, however, you would simply be making a fool of yourself.

From a philosophical point of view I would apply Occam's Razor which in this case says that since you don't need the assumption that you had a previous life or will have a future life to explain your current one, you shouldn't grab on to those unnecessary ideas. But then, I have a science background, so Occam's Razor is pretty much the rule by which I live and live well. It works for me.

My take on it: this is it, girl. Live it so that you won't need another. You might be bitterly disappointed if you don't.

I don't know; my opinion is that nobody truly knows...while living in our current human forms.
