Baby Grace
Written by Semper Fi Reborn

Who is to blame,
When a child is harmed?
Who is the one,
To sound the alarm?
Who is the one who'll,
Dry her tears?
Who'll be the light,
Of her wonder years?

Children are seeds,
Won't you let them grow?
Before you strike,
Won't you let them go?
They are pure love,
Pure in every way.
So let your child,
Feel loved everyday.

Why harm a child,
For your own twisted thoughts.
Life has no price,
It cannot be bought,
Or sold, bartered,
Not meant for trade.
Life's more than a song,
It's a serenade.

Destroy violent thoughts,
And let love replace.
While we must all mourn,
For sweet Baby Grace.

Please do something to save the children from the hands of pain, and bring them into the arms of love.

More than tears running down my face. There are goosebumps on top of the goosebumps. If only others could feel that way, the untold damage that people to do children, would not have to be. Your words have touched me in a way that few ever could, because it tells of a true understanding for the pain a child can suffer at the hands of others. Having felt that kind of pain myself, this poem means even more to me than you could possibly know. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Semper Fi, you are truly a unique individual. I have children of my own, as well as grandbabies. The thought of anyone ever laying a hand on them in any way to harm them, is simply more than I could ever bare.

I live between Spring,Tx. where this little girl lived until an evil step father took off a day from work to teach her some manners & abused her so badly that he killed her because she couldn't remember to say please & thank you.
A supposely loving Mother allowed this mistreatment & knew he would be alone with her that day for these lessons.~~~
She was found in Galveston Bay waters months later in a blue plastic box. It was all over local & national news to find out who Baby Grace was. If you watch the news, you saw it.
The parents sit in jail at this time charged with her death. What Mother would stand by & let her child go through this. He did it, but she certainly took no action to stop it. I just cannot understand how sick & sad this scenairo must have been. That little darling didn't stand a chance. No one to protect her. Its going on everywhere. We must watch out for the monsters & report the offenders. I will, will you join me ??

Unfortunately there are too many cowards out there who cannot look at a child as just that and see the innocense even when they mess up. There is no reason to hurt a child no matter what , just walk away if that angry , call someone and get help. On todays news in CT a guy who was due in court for molesting kids (teenagers ) on my space, took the easy way out and hung himself. The news said that unfortunately the girls will never see justice, Having been molested as a child I believe the ultimate justice was done as he cannot threaten anyone else now........

This is a very delicate and sophisticated poem..it deeply touched my heart and I felt the poem deep down my heart...I love to write poems too but I nevr thought of one like this...wish I could write one, and share it to the world too.......sometimes we can relay a message better in a poem..because of the choice of words laid and used..and what an amazing grace that there are poems for the children so touchy and beautifull,,thnx a lot ..it made my day.........really..TC>

Stop praising me, I'll be over the skies...LOL.
I just asked a question of being more self-centered.
Thanks Pangel.
