Sounds like a great name to me! I really like Austin, and Jason is a nice name, but common so it is more suitable for a middle name. I think you made a great choice and you could always call him A.J. but you could never call him J.A. if it was the other way around. Good luck!

First and second name should have different numbers of syllables, i.e. Jason Alexander (2, 3) I like Austin and I like Jason, but they don't fit together. Picture in your mind that you are calling your son because he didn't take the garbage out. "Austin Jason"
Try to find a name that flows off you tongue. Put some thought in.
