discovery......... America and Americans look at the American revolution as something that happened during the 1775-1782 era........ therein lies America's downfall, since the Marshall plan began its meek beginning post WWII... we could have healed all... all... the woes of the world then, when we had the tiger by the tail, eliminate poverty, build hospitals, schools, houses, deserts through rivers, and more... but we stopped... Clinton borrowed a phrase from my favorite author about building a bridge to the 21st century, and he shook JFK's hand but he failed, miserably... if we continue to have self indulgent politicians like that America is doomed... and a distant boom grows ever so much closer... we need to build... build ... build... did you hear me? anyone out there? god here's me ... does anyone else?

...George Washington surveyed, among other things... that and other skills should be commonplace agenda in junior high or middle school by now... but education is not free in america, and is hoarded... there is a simple way to pay for necessities of life, education, health care, water, etc without taxation or burdening inflation..... but congress, or college educated people, are over educated, or not smart enough... take your pick

Only the wealthy can afford to run for Governor, President, etc. There are some very smart and natural leaders in our country, but if you don't have a fat check book, you have no chance at being a leader of our country.

The entire political scheme.....tell everyone in Washington that their services are no longer needed...they have been replaced......bring our service men and women home....tell the rest of the world they are on their own....tell the rest of the world we are calling all debts owed to us as paid and any debts we owe to them paid as well.

Grow our own food....make whatever we need and use. Use what oil we have until it runs out and then hit the streets walking until we develop modes of transportation that do not use our natural resources.

As was mentioned before, our borders need to be more secured. Also, I believe that we need to get Government spending under control, and that we need to seriously do something about the environmental problems we're facing , before it's too late.

We need to have our own energy. It is going to be painful. Something like giving up a 8000 lb. SUV and producing electric cars with nuclear power.
