You don't need the penny the water alone will do the job..flies have many eyes and the way the sun reflects through the baggie and water is a prismatic effect on the fly confusing it directly with it's directional values of the sun..which is the way thier gps works..they tend to stay away from it...and yes..it does work..have used this method for years..

With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.
According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. So if you're already preparing for the crisis (or haven't started yet) make sure you watch this video at http://www.familysurvival.tv and discover the 4 BIG issues you'll have to deal with when the crisis hits, and how to solve them fast (before the disaster strikes your town!) without spending $1,000s on overrated items and useless survival books.

When your window screens are full of holes or missing entirely, this is something to try. It is cheap and easy to do. Flies may simply be repelled by the motion of the bags.

From what I've heard, it has something to do with the way the bag refracts light. You could try it, but I would keep my fly treatment options open

actually its a bag of water with a strip of foil in it...twist the foil a little to refect the light in odd directings... which is what confuses the hell out of the many eyes the flys have.. so they stay away from it....
least thats what i was told.... \
guess you could check out snoops and see.. never thought of that... then i didnt care ether.. if it works.. why fix it
