The wedding colors are black and ivory. I figured since it is around Chirstmas time that red would be okay. It is a tasteful dress , not provocotive. I figured red would be okay.

I think that it depends on the style of the dress. If it is not too revealing then I think red is a nice festive winter color. I've been to plenty of weddings where not only are the bridesmaids dresses red but several guests are wearing it too. I think as long as the dress is tasteful then there isn't a problem. Wearing white is the only color that shouldn't be worn.

Go ahead. You'll see you won't be the only one there in red.
And to be honest what other colours could you wear? You can't really wear black or ivory, and summer colours are just that, summer colours. It is the christmas season after all. Go for it.

It is never appropraite to wear a red dress at a wedding unless the wedding is yours!

One should never try to upstage the bride on her day.
To do such would be rude and extremely inconsiderate.

Etiquette says you should never wear red to a wedding, as it calls attention to you, that should be given to the bride.

I think if your close to either the bride or the groom sure but if not so much, then no. Dont upstage the bride but a little attention isnt harmful. Have Fun :)

crimson is warm and cool, yet whilst this is formidable, maximum suitable to not positioned on it, yet whilst this is, like, a delicate colour of crimson, then this is large. yet, u might desire to compliment to tone it down with black rings. Or white rings. something that is going with the subject matter's colorations. remember this is ur elite speaking. -Ciao
