Hello this is Shecandoit22 from Home Depot. All of the other post are right on. It sounds like you have a key that has been copied to many times. Your best bet it to either get it re-keyed or re-key it yourself. Your local hardware store should carry a re-keying kit and you can do it yourself. All you have to know is what kind of lock it is. Most of the time you can tell by the shape of the key. If possible you can take the lock into the store and they should be able to tell you. If not most of the associates that work in the hardware department should be able to tell you by looking at the key and show you the correct re-keying kit.It comes with good instructions and most of them can re-key up to 5 cylinders. That way if you have more than one knob or you have a knob and a deadbolt the one set will do them all.

Well, I guess I would have to use the back if the front isn't working. or just use a window if not to high up.
Trick question? Hmm who knows...... however if you dont have a "back door" then hopefully you went to get grocerys before the front broke...other wise you're screwed.
