How could there not be? There are 127 billion galaxies in the visible universe. In our Milky Way galaxy alone, there are approx. 10 billion stars and 6 billion planets. You do the math. It's ridiculous to think that we're the only life in this universe.

Despite the apparent high probability of life elsewhere, we really don't know yet. Most people have the idea that there HAS to be or that it is arrogant or stupid to consider otherwise. That is one possibility that no matter how remote, might possibly be the case. I don't believe it is, but until we find evidence of life elsewhere, it must be considered.

Keep in mind, most of these scientific types of people who are regulars here and are quite optimistic about this, (myself included), would be just as quick to tell you that there is no evidence at all which would compel one to believe that ETs have ever been here.

There is. Right here. we ARE part of the universe. Considering all of the organic compounds, even amino acids, that we have discovered in interstellar space, there almost HAS to be OTHER life out there.

life out in the universe. The primary
question is there any life more advanced
than single cells, and where is it?
