Half-Life Game?

ok, first of all im aware that this game i well known and recognized.

Now, i havent played any half life game yet, but i want to do so, so with which game should i start with?

i know there are several versions of the game, but how many HL games are there really?

and wich one should i buy first? which one was released first

please dont post wikipedia links i ve already checked there, i need "REAL ANSWERS FROM REAL PEOPLE"

There's the original version Half-Life which was released in 1999, and there's Half-Life: Source which is the same game remade with the Half-Life 2 Engine which is avalible off Steam.

Also there's no avalible expansions to the Souce version, where the original has Opposing Force and Blue Shift.

After you've played the first one, you can buy "The Orange Box" which has Half-Life 2, HL2: Episode 1 and Episode 2. As well as Portal and Team Foretress 2 (which are not part of the storyline)
