It depends on the team, network, etc
Mike Emrick makes over a million a year to call hockey for NBC
Hockey Night in Canada pays Bob Cole, Dick Irvin and Jim Hughson $440,000 a year and their respective colour guys less although Ron Maclean and Don Cherry are both paid between $700K and $800K a year.
Local radio outlets can pay their people closer to $30K and $40K
Most of them love it, so I hope it works out for you
Chris, celebrity analystrs like Kypreos, Healy, etc don;t make as much because they are not full-time employees, they only work on specific shows.
Chris Duthie on the other hand is employed by the Network as makes more.
In Roger's annual report a couple of years ago they announced that all non-celebrity on-air personalities made more than $100,000 but less than $200,000. Hazel Mae tripled her salary when she left Rogers for NESN

I thought the same way when I was younger. A friend gave me something to try. He said to turn the sound off of the tv, get a recorder and tape yourself doing the play be play as the game is being played. Do as much as you can for three of four game stopages then play it back. Hint: before the game starts make sure you know all the player numbers. Now-a-days you can record the game and do it, works better than it used to, I imagine.
Doing this was a great influnce on my discovery of the construction industry.

Its no contest man! The WORLD CUP!! Its the most watched event on the face of the planet. Entire countries stop just to watch the games. The people that are at the stadiums are the most devoted fans on earth which makes the whole even that much more exciting!!
