We all know that they handled the merger the worst possible way. There is so much they could have done with the aquasition of ECW and WCW. My question is why do they now have a ECW show but not a WCW? I think they should have replaced Smackdown with Nitro. Anyone else with me? They could have wars between the three. WCW WW3 pay per view would have been great to keep.

I think you guys forget that a lot of todays wwe superstars were wcw superstars. They could do a complete roster for wcw with the wcw stars that they have today. Thats not my point tho, my point is that the wcw is more marketable than smackdown. why not use wcw like they are using ecw? I would also try to keep the 3 as different companies so that they compete against each other. Only time they collaborate is on ppv or brand wars.

Ok the # 1 reason he brought back ECW and not WCW is Video sales. Every ECW dvd/vhs sold far more than any of the WCW sales. ECW sales at one point were doing better than WWE sales or close to it. But the WCW dvds that they did were not selling at all. That is the main (and some say the only) reason he started the ECW brand back up. Maybe if people had purchased more of the WCW dvds he would have started it back up. But he didn't think the interest was there. I for one am not interested.

I think because Vince McMahon wanted to get rid of the competition. WCW Monday Night Nitro beat Raw for 88 weeks straight in the ratings. I wish he did keep WCW. Loved flipping back and forth to Raw and Nitro on Mondays.
Now whenever Raw sucks I cant change the channel and its basically the only show a wrestling fan can watch now except for TNA which Im not a huge fan of. Thats what Mcmahon wanted. Cant blame him though because its his business.
Used to love watching the NWO , and Sting and all the luchador matches, and watching Benoit , Jericho, and Eddie guererro on WCW before they were even in the WWE.

Don't get me wrong and all, I personally LOVED WCW but it wouldn't be the same...just like ECW isn't the same. I loved the whole ECW/WCW allience story line but over all I'm disappointed with the buy out. WWE now has no main competion (sure there's TNA but it's not on the same level, ya know?) and it's kinda forcing wrestling fans to watch the garbage story lines they have going on now....
Wrestling will never be like it was in the '90s....back when the divas were actually considered competitors....I miss Chyna, Jaqulin,Molly Holly, Trish & Lita...I also miss monday night war WCW vs. WWE....hehe
Does anyone else remember all three holly's (Molly,Crash&Hardcore)?
What about the Dean Malinko & Lita hotel room skit?
Or how about when DX invaded WCW?
All of the orginal members of DX??? HHH, X-Pac,Shawn,Billy Gunn Chyna...
The David Flair & Miss Hancock (Stacy Keibler) baby story line...&& can't forget Daphne..
Back when Steph was supposed to Marry Test but then HHH knocked her out & married her

i think tht would be a good idea plus if they put old wcw guys and new guys from smackdown on wcw roster if they did bring it back and bring up some new guys for ecw aswell then bring loads of new guys for smackdown then you could have raw vs smackdown vs wcw vs ecw

The WCW that WWE bought was not the same WCW where we first saw the NWO. Time to get over it and move on.

It was because Vince fought for years to beat WCW and now that he has,why would he want to bring it back and even if he did it wouldn't be all of the WCW wrestlers that we all know of that will be there.

Vince couldn't afford to pay all the salary's,,Ted Turner was paying huge salaries.
He should of made it the Friday night show,it had the ratings

WCW Sucks. Vince bought it just to put them out of business. Like he will do with TNA one day if they get to big.
