One of your fellow associates has been coming to work 20 minutes late for the past week. This has resulted in the need for you to stay beyond your shift. What should you do?

1. Bring up tardiness in the next department meeting.
2. Tell the associate that it’s unfair to everyone when he comes in late.
3. Continue to pick up the slack until the manager takes action.
4. Warn the associate that you will speak to the manager the next time he
5. Talk to the other associate about how tardiness affects group goals and ask for his help by getting to work sooner.

You should talk to your supervisor although he/she should already know of this. When I was working you only had so many chances of being late or you would be fired. But talk to your supervisor and see what he/she says about it. Let them know that you are tired of picking up the slack for someone that can not come in on time.

I would talk to the manager. It is the manager's job to ensure that all of their employees are on time to work, not yours. The manager should be the one to address this with the coworker, so that the coworker understands that it isn't just your personal preference, but something that the company requires.

That said, I'd pick #3 for the application question.

MYOB and keep normal business hours. Do not do #3 if it involves work outside of your mandate.

1,2,4,5 are not your problem......
You could mention to boss that you are unable to stay beyond quitting time ...and are concerned work won't be finished as expected.

then at evaluation time remind them of your dependability and negotiate for a better raise.
companies don't want to pay to retrain it is in their benefit to pay you more.
