i know that you are meant to take the pill at the same time everyday, i tend to do but there have been a couple of days when i have taken it a couple of hours before the usual time, its never majory different from the normal time, just a couple of hours. is this going to make a massive difference?

Basically it depends what kind of pill you are on. If you are on the combined pill, there is technically a 12 hour window that you can take it 'late'. This means if you take it at 2pm on Monday, then you are supposed to take it by 2am on Wednesday morning (2pm on Tuesday + 12 hours).

Though if you are on the progesterone only pill then you only have a 2 hour window (though check for your particular pill, they may be different) - basically though it is much more important that you take this on time.

Hope this helps. xx

No. I take my pill at different times all the time and I have my cycle on the day I am supposed to and stop when I am supposed to and everything. Just as long as you take them and don't skip you should be fine.

It didnt for me. I would take it as close to the same time as possible. Even then I could have been off a few hours.

depends. if you're on a pill that's progesterone only, it'll matter more than if it's a combo pill. a couple of hours would probably be okay... but you never know.

If you are taking them for regular periods, then it is fine.

However for contraceptive prevention, you should take it as close to the same time as you can for it to be fully effective at 99%.

it doesn't for me as long as you take it around the right time.
