I used to love watching his stunts when I was a kid. I did not know he was so sick. May he rest in peace.

You are so kind and compassionate! I feel the same way. I remember when his son was going to do a stunt, but backed out of it. Evil was a real daredevil. I don't know how anyone could do some of the things he did. He was injured many times and came close to death many times too. He was a legend, and although many people might think he was crazy, he had to express himself the way he thought was best. He did what he loved.

Yea it is very sad and only 69. There are some people somehow we just assume will live forever. Especially after growing up watching him and seeing him survive so many very bad wipeouts that by all rights should have killed him.

From what I have been reading it sounds like he got most of the problem issues on this earth settled recently and had allowed Our Creator into his heart not long ago also (or perhaps I should say openly announced that he had).

While any death is sad. There comes a point when our tasks on this earth are complete or at least the time we are allotted is complete. And it is time for our soul to move on to what comes next.

May his soul be at peace with Our Creator.

For the rest of us:

May Our Creator bless and watch over each of us and our families.

My feelings are as follows....

He lived a relatively long, full, and exciting life doing what he loved best. Riding motorcycles to the extreme while challenging death. Personally, I liked to watch, but thought he was a bit strange. I admired his courage, but questioned his motives. I think he was a little overly possessed by all the glitter of showmanship.

Am I sad that he died? Not really. But I'm not glad, either. I sorta liked him. I'm sure he was not comfortable with so many mangled body parts, so I'm thinking he's most likely better off. I do feel quite sad for his friends and family, however.

Since my five year long depression ended two and a half years ago, my whole outlook on life (and death) has changed. I now cherish life and revel in it, but I don't feel particularly sad about those that have died. I think it's because I got a peek at death a couple of times and no longer fear it or think of it as an end, but a new beginning, instead. To me, feeling sad when someone dies, comes from a feeling of loss which, I feel, can be dealt with by looking at the positive side... We're still alive and can celebrate the person's life by recalling all their good times and good deeds as opposed to wallowing in sorrow.

Yes, may he rest in peace indeed.

I watched him all of the time when I was little. My brother even had an Evil Knievel bicycle. Fond memories.
Rest in peace.

He was ill for a long time and it's probably a blessing.
He made peace with Kanye West who was probably his last enemy on earth.

He was a hero during the time in American History when there weren't many heroes around.

No, I am not sad at any death. It is a sign of an ordeal completed, and is more a cause for joy than sadness.

He'll never be put into the ground...the casket will overshoot the hole to the roar of the cheering crowd!

He will always be a legend!
