Alice can barely sit upright or stay conscious for very long. There is no way she could take an international flight on our own. I hope someone came along with her!

I'm sure they just want to write respectful reasons for her to be missing family gatherings. We know that it is hard to believe that a 93 year old would be comfortable on a trans-Atlantic flight but it is better than saying she is sick in bed all the time.

I think they are writting her off the actress that playes alice will be 93 years old in Dec. Wow god bless her for living that long and still working. She started the show in 1965.

Frances Reid is in her 90's and has had some health issues. She is the matriarch of the soap and the only original cast member left on the show. She remains on the show in a recurring status....what better ideas do you have for her? They have to mention her once in a while when she can't appear on scene and it would be awful to set her into a story that is not respectful to her!

It does sound kind of weird to me too as well. I usually like some of the storylines, even the ones that are kind of out there, but that is just a little too out there for me.

Mrs. Horton is getting pretty old! I'm surprised she's still doing the show. I remember when Mr. Horton died, he worked all the way up until the end.

LOL.Yes,it's unrealistic that a woman in her 90's would be traveling alone.
I miss seeing Alice on the show.
