The Teddy Bear Case?
I was reading a News Article about that.
Aparently, the majority of Muslim Organizations thought the Sudanese Government should RELAX.
Even the Saudi King said "The punishment was a little overboard, all over a bear."
Lol, Never thought the king would say that.
So whats your stance on this?

I think it's stupid!
People name their kid Mohammad all the time! It was the KIDS that picked the name. The teacher did NOT say, "Look, kids this is a representation of your prophet".
I'm glad she avoided the 40 lashes!
Either way it's just another thing that ppl will use to judge Muslims in a negative way. Which is the fault of the government.

It's hard for me to understand, since as a catholic I can't imagine myself being outraged over a bear called Jesus, or God. Perhaps the fact that the teacher was female, and British, and not a Muslim compounded the issue. I do think the punishment is extreme BUT people do need to be sensitive of cultural differences, especially in another country.

its not the fact the bears name is mohammed, lots of muslims name their kids that but its the fact that the teacher showed hatred towards the name andinsulted the religion. if is about the name then its rediculious but its the fact that the teacher insulted the religion and the name
