I'm in my late forties and married for 20 years. It seems like once a women meets my wife they will start to hit on me hard, even in front of her, I never flirt with other women but women in there 20s and 30s will do or say anything to get me out with them. They will flirt before they meet her. but after that they get way out of control.

Only if they are homewrecking hussies. I don't think it is a turn on for a man to have a pretty wife, if he is not attractive to me. Maybe they would flirt with you after meeting her if they had a crush on you and it seemed that you didn't get along or if she was not a nice person but maybe they are flirting with you in a harmless way since they know it won't go anywhere because you are happily married.

Harmless flirting is just that, harmless. However, the kind of women who would get "way out of control" flirting with a married man, especially in front of or after meeting his wife, are really not the kind of women a respectable man would associate with.

only a certain type of woman will hit on someone married, its either a competition thing where they want to see if u will take the bait, or they want the kind of life your wife has and they see u as a good catch.
