My answer is Dontrelle Willis. He is a good pitcher. But people talk about him like he is a lights out #1. He is not this. He is a good #2. People talk like trading for him would instantly turn a team into a winner. Your picks??

Sorry I can not let this question go without letting this player be mentioned, but my pick will have to go to Kerry Wood, and if any Chicago Cubs fan is looking at this qustion, and sees this answer, and have seen my posts that have to do with him, they shouldn't be surpised. I don't see what is so special about Kerry Wood, first he started as a starter for the Chicago Cubs, and now they have him coming out of the bullpen. This guy is injured more then when he plays. And I am not the biggest Kerry Wood fan, plus the fact is that he keeps signing one year deals with the Chicago Cubs, only to go on the free agent list, when he knows he will re-sign with the Chicago Cubs. At least I beieve that Dontrelle Willis is heathly, but I am sick and tired of Wood, and I doubt that the Chicago Cubs will ever get sick and tired of him getting hurt. If there is one Chicago Cubs player, that denifly doesn't deserve to get into the Hall of Fame when he reties, right now it is Kerry Wood. Even on the Chicago Cubs roster, I think that he is the most over rated player on thier roster, and at #2 will be Mark Prior, that is just the same.

Daisuke Matsusaka(if thats the right spelling), David Wright, Jose Reyes, Paul LoDuca, Jason Varitek, Barry Bonds,Big Papi, Chien Ming Wang. All of these players just get all the media, mostly, and a few asterisk marks. But these guys are gettin payed big cha chings, and not performing.

Of course you would say Dontrell Willis.
You'd love to have him, but you know kenny williams isnt man enough to go after him.
I agree that he's a a #2 starter; one I'd love for The Tigers to go get.
Can you imagine a rotation of
Rogers (yes, The Tigers did re-sign him to a 1 year $8 million deal today)
Verlander
Bonderman
Willis
Robertson?
That would shore up our rotation right good, I think.

and, oh yeah, the most over-rated player?

joe crede.

there are various over-rated gamers in international cricket precise now, yet Gambhir isn't considered one of them. gamers like Jacob Oram (a rustic guy of mine) have a brilliant acceptance, yet do no longer carry out regularly sufficient. Mitchell Johnson is a robust bowler, yet isn't the 'international classification' bowler all and sundry calls him & hence is over-rated. no longer many NZers are over-rated because of the fact no-one costs them in the 1st place, different than Bond, Oram & Vettori. As for that remark approximately Kallis being extra advantageous than Ponting & Tendulkar..... HAHA Ur a dreamer. confident Kallis is absolute classification... & I desire he became right into a kiwi... yet no way is he close to to Sachin or Ricky, & I HATE RICKY, with a keenness... yet i understand the game nicely sufficient to understand the excellent BATSMAN because Bradman as quickly as I see him. And the remark approximately Gambhir doing nicely in NZ.... NZs wickets have become extra advantageous & extra advantageous to bat on. That Napier pitch is between the excellent in the international with short boundries sq. of the wicket, so any batsman dealing with, Obrian, Martin & Southee on that pitch could desire to pretty much get a hundred purely strolling obtainable. Thats no longer something to place in writing domicile approximately.

I've felt for a long time Adam Dunn is overrated. He hits a ton of home runs, but does little else. He strikes out waaaay to much, although his stolen base and walk totals are on the rise. He's just a selfish player as he doesn't drive in many runs, and doesn't put the ball into play.

I would have to say Barry Zito. He's being paid 13 Million Dollars a year for 11-3, 120 strikeouts, 4.50 ERA. He started 34 games. Now I don't know about you, but that's not $10 Million performance.

J ... I have to agree with Oz on this one, Barry Zito gets the nod, as far as news worthiness for 2007, he was non-existent, but his salary certainly wasn't

Jeter.

Yes, he's Hall-bound and a past winner. But Noo Yawk fans still overrate him. I think it's the way the rest of baseball fandom doesn't genuflect before Him that annoys them so.

156million later Barry Zito still hasnt produced to his hype. I hope the 18.6 million per year the Giants are paying him is worth it.
