I've had that happen before! But, I just thought I may have been zoned out!

I just tried the spell check to see if it was functioning properly and it caught the words I misspelled. It seems to be working ok now. I'm sure there are cases where something could be missed in the spell check, depending on what the words are.

It does that all the time to me.
So what I do is correct the first word it finds then click RESUME and it goes down
farther and finds another.
Sometimes I know there's a word that's misspelled and I'm too lazy to get the dictionary
so I go click on the word and the check spell and it gives me the correct spelling.

I hate spell checks! Got a double major in English, so I kind of have an idea how words ought to be spelled. Anyway, the wife says she’s buying me one of those new Jeff Foxworthy “Redneck” books for Christmas, and I DEFY any spell check to tangle with that mess cause I’m gonna use it whenever I can! :-)

My spellcheck malfunctions all the time. I didn't realize it was even there for the longest time until someone pointed it out. I don't worry if sometimes people have a typo or miss a letter here and there. As long as I can understand the question , it doesn't bother me.

Didn't notice the spell check thing, because I mostly don't bother to use it.
But I am sick and tired of having my yahoo mail not allow me to do "reply" or "forward" on some of my email. It's been happening for a few days now.

I have found that the spell checker tries to change the way I spell as I use English spelling so perhaps it had a brain storm

Keep in mind that spell check only checks for correct spelling - not grammatic use of the word.
For instance, "their" and "there" are both spelled correctly but have separate meanings.

it happens to me sometimes ...so better watch out not everything comes out perfectly , so you have to have an idea of the spelling and try checking , if it shows you words which doesnt look well spelled then ...i think we need to ask this question to the stuffs at Y A's.....
Good luck and dont just think its only you ...i think we are many on here facing the same .....

There are several words the Y/A spell check doesn't know. Even countries. It still doesn't know that Viet (VITE) Nam exists.
