I would go back to July 1888 to "Braunau am Inn" in Austria, and find a woman called Klara Hitler, and I would have an affair with her and therefore ensure that she didn't conceive her 4th child and call him Adolf :o)

I would travel into the future.
I'd like to know what the world will be like in a hundred or so years.
Maybe I'd bring a few things back with me.
Maybe a cure for Cancer or Aids or even the common cold.
Who knows what medical advances would have been made.
Wouldn't hurt to know the outcome of a few sporting events either.

Go back to the early 1980's and invest in a little start-up company called Microsoft and then you can whisk me away to the U. S. Civil War, which is one cataclysmic event that has made America what it is today more than any other event.

I would be a Pilgrim stepping off the Mayflower from England, go through the hardships, live through it all, and then get to enjoy the accomplishments that were made afterwards.

I'd take a digital camera back to the beginning of the earth just to take some lovely snaps of Adam, Eve and the talking smake for all those religious people. (ahem)

Historically? Roosevelt to Roosevelt - it's what I teach and I'd sure like to know what REALLY happened.
Personally? Maybe 40 years back, at my current age, to better know my Dad, Mother, Grandparents - I STILL miss them and would like just one more day with each. Wouldn't we all?

I'd either go back to when life first begun or forward 50 years so that i can see how the world became (or maybe deteriored!)

I would choose to be in Philadelphia as the Continental Congress debated and signed the Declaration of Independence... it would be fascinating!
