I agree, I think Google will offer way to much information. As it is now you can find anything and before you know it you will find even more. I get a lot of answers off of Google now. Good thought..

Not if you block or 'neuter' their cookies, put the following entries in your HOSTS file:
127.0.0.1 imageads.googlesyndication.com
127.0.0.1 pagead.googlesyndication.com
127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com
127.0.0.1 adwords.google.com
127.0.0.1 altfarm.mediaplex.com
(this list doesn't include all the *.doubleclick.* nasties that Google uses)
Use a firewall that blocks transmission of HTTP header fields (referer) and run with a browser like FireFox with an extension that allows you to open 'Google' page links in a separate tab without the referer portion of the link.
