Pelosi will not allow additional funding for troop and operational support. As I predicted, she is doing all that she can do to sabatoge the gains made by our troops in Iraq.
Do you think it's ok for her to jeapordize stategic gains and the lives of the troops in the region to further her party's political agenda?
Don't feed me the line about the surge not working;agree or not,the additional troops and strategic gains HAVE made Iraq safer and brought them closer to self(and peaceful) rule.
MURTHA of all people even wants more funding than the Queen will "allow"

The funding is there ($50 billion dollars worth). The bill is on GWs desk. All Bush has to do is sign it. What's Bush waiting for? Why is Bush playing games with soldiers lives? Why is Bush jeopardizing strategic gains? Bush needs to realize that the days of getting a blank check with no accountability are over. Bush needs to stop acting like a 5 year old when he doesn't get everything he wants. Congress has done their job and provide GW a bill with Iraq funding. If Bush vetoes it then is it not Bush who is willing to play power games for the sake of the soldiers?

Okay drama queen lighten up already! The sky isn't falling nor will it fall if Pelosi withholds money from Bush and his little war. He wants it all his way or no way and maybe she is telling him it doesn't work that way any more. No more rubber stamp Congress. Frankly I think the Congress should play lets make a deal and say to Dubya, if you sign Schip and another progressive bill or two we will give you the money. No sign no money. I have a funny feeling he would sign. Georgie wouldn't know what to do without his little war. If the surge is working and we have done so well than why would we need money when we would bring our people home. The surge worked we aren't needed any more therefore no need to continue lining Halliburton's pockets.

The surge is working and Pelosi and all those other nut jobs up there should give the troops everything they possibly need. Those are our children. They should have the best of the best.
Furthermore we will probably always be in Iraq to make sure the Islamic Terrorists do not go back in there and destroy that country after it has been rebuilt and the people are free.

I'm not a fan of Pelosi's, but unlike you I don't support the war in Iraq, and feel it's high time to begin bringing the troops home, instead of looking for WMD's that won't turn up, trying to establish a pro-western regime in a country that's understandably becoming more anti-western by the minute, with mounting casualties and staggering sums of money being spent on it all to boot. Insipid platitudes about "fighting them over there so we don't fight them over here" and "cowardly evil-doers who hate us for our freedom" change nothing.

Democrats have a plan to fund the troops but Republicans voted it down because they seem to want to keep the troops in Iraq indefinitely.

Even the troops themselves want out already. Over 70% wanted to end the war since 2006. Look for the Military Times poll.

You have to remember this one thing: U.S. failure in Iraq means more power for Queen P. Without a losing war effort, they have no platform whatsoever. They would be exposed as the rhetoric spouting do nothings they are. So remember, to a Liberal Dem, dead soldiers means votes. Something to think about come next November.

Ditto with Travolta.

The Bush Administration plays fast and lost w/ our troops lives. Your question projects that fact onto the Democrats because of your guilty conscience over what your boy Bush is doing.

Nancy Pelosi is one member of 435 members of Congress. You give her to much credit.

I'm not down playing her role, but the fact is there are 434 other votes. Don't down play that slick.

In my opinion, at the 11th hour, Pelosi will fold like a cheap lawn chair.
