Monument Valley.John Ford the movie director convinced the American public that a place such as Monument Valley could be real when he gave us the classic film "Stagecoach",in 1939.Yet despite all of the publicity given by this and many other Ford films and numerous issues of Arizona Highways magazine, the roughest roads in the West kept tourists out of this mysterious region on the Utah - Arizona border until pavement came in the early 1960s.
This is one of the major dwelling places of the Navajo Indians, and life in the hogan at Monument Valley is likely to be much as it was in the days of Stagecoach filming.
I have only been there once ,back in 1975 (i am from Australia). It's far from the beaten track, but that view from Goulging's Trading Post at sunset won't be found anywhere on this planet.

My 2 favorite places.
(1) anywhere my family is
(2) vacation spot: Sagres, Portugal it's breathtaking!
Sagres is located on a rocky plateau that ends abruptly at the coast to form steep cliffs of up to 500ft in height. Looking over the spectacular cliffs you are presented with an awesome view of the waves crashing into the rocks below.
It is my favorite place that I have visited thus far !

Concord, New Hampshire. I was there for 6 weeks training employees at the hospital. It was one of the cleanest and friendliest places I've ever visited.

You have (most likely) never heard of this place but it is Mt. Agamenticus. Don't ask about how I know how to spell it.
