I'm stumped on this movie. I saw it a bunch of times on tv in the 70's & early 80's. It was about this boy who mistakenly kills a girl with a rock...or something like that. I remember she falls off her bike and hits her head on a rock. He wore red rimmed glasses.. I think his grandmother ends up hiding him in her basement from the police.. she gives him plenty of canned foods.. She ends up passing on and other people buy the house...he keeps living there and they don't know it. It's really vague but that's the plot that I remember and I can't remember much more. Help if you know this title... It's a tough one and friends I know who love movies can't remember it either.

The movie is called "Bad Ronald." I've never seen the film myself because it was a 1970's TV movie and I wasn't exactly old enough to watch it, but i've answered this question before for people who were looking for it.
Plot summary:
A shy teenager accidentally kills a mocking peer, and his mother helps him hide in a spare room in their house. Problems arise when the mother goes for an operation and dies, and the house is sold to a new family, with the teen still living inside.
