you can have many more c-sections. most drs reccomend no more than 4, but women have had 8, 10, 12. the risk for complications increases with each surgury.

No that's rubbish, whoever told you that really doesn't know. I've had 3 sections. Its true that if you've had two sections already, in the UK it is the norm to have your third baby by section automatically. If your doctor has confirmed that your bone structure is too narrow, then you have no choice but to have sections. It is the only way you will be able to deliver a live baby. Listen to your specialist, he's the expert.

this is my sister's third c section. No, the number is not 2. You'll be fine. They will advise you after this one though not to get pregnant too quickly. With every c-section, the risks are higher, and it takes longer for you to heal. Also, with each c-section, there's more tissue scarring. While doing this c-section she told my sister she should wait at least 3 years before getting pregnant again because there was a lot of scarred tissue. Hope I made sense.

Its half true. You SHOULDNT have more than 2 c-sections. Yeah its possible, but its not good for you. You start to run out of healthy skin to cut through. After you heal from a c-section it is scar tissue there. Im not sure if they cant cut through the scar tissue more than once or twice. I totally forget, but I know that it is ALL to do with scar tissue----not weather or not you are healthy enough to bear more children.

I'm the last of 4 c-sections. But that was 24 years ago, so I don't know if things have changed! :) Congrats on the baby.

My doctor said the same thing to me. You can have as many c-sections as you want as along as your doctor says that you are healthy enough to have more children.

That isn't true, doctors have a difference of opinion as to how many is appropriate though.

I have never heard that, and I'm sure if it were true your doctor would have warned you that it would be dangerous to become pregnant again. I'm sure you and your children will be fine.
