Yep.
Diabetes, heart problems and just being rode hard and put up wet. He has a daughter named Tracey Mccloud, her and her husband are/were missionaries in Africa. I met her in Butte,Montana in 1989 and told her of her dad's counterpart in Georgia.
Have you heard of Ku Klux Knievel?
He failed his last stunt attempt.
He tried to jump 4 African-Americans with a steam roller!
Tracey seemed a little upset hearing this at church.
I don't know why!

Yes, it's sad. It seems as if all the old heroes are leaving us and noone worthy is taking their place.
You don't see almost every 8-15 year old boy pretending to be Johnny Knoxville or Bam Margera (thank God), but back when I was a kid you would be hard pressed to not find a kid on his bike who didn't pretend at least once to be Evel Knievel. I still have several scars to prove it!
So I propose a toast to all the old daredevils wherever you are, may the bandages come off easy, the bruises and breaks heal quickly and the joys last forever.

CLEARWATER, Fla. - Evel Knievel, the red-white-and-blue-spangled motorcycle daredevil whose jumps over crazy obstacles including Greyhound buses, live sharks and Idaho’s Snake River Canyon made him an international icon in the 1970s, died Friday. He was 69.

Poor old guy....at least he had a long full life, doing what he did best. Any one of those jumps he made could have killed him.
He was a tough old dude, and he'll be missed.
RIP Evel....you were one of my heroes growing up.

yeah the news is everywhere now. i just read it online with my local newspaper and also cnn.com
It's so sad to see someone pass away. He was sick though so it is best to say that he is no longer suffering. I remember watching clips of him as a kid and thought he was so cool in his red white and blue

It was just on MSNBC.
The major new sources are all talking about the Clinton campaign situation, as their primary story of course.
Do a search on CNN, FOX, or NBC's website.
RIP Enievel.
