How do you help, someone you love, and care for deeply that doesn't see their personality problem. He is self destructive and his life is like a whirl winding going down hill to the point of no return. He is like a tornado reaking havoc everywhere he goes. He is 33 years old and still acts like a child taking no responsibility having babies everywhere, He has an anger problem and goes through rages, has a trust problem with women, has a bad relationship with his mother, He is in jail now, pleaded guilty for assaulting his girlfriend breaking her nose, one minute he says hes admits he's wrong and in another he's still shows anger. He's upset with the penalty given to him by the judge, which was more time in jail and a rehab. program called D.A.R.T He doesn't want help, yes, has a drinking and smoking weed problem.
While in jail his moods are eractic from angry to lucid then act as if nothing is really all that bad.

Some people are just bad right out of the womb. I used to be a tornado as well without the women beating and anger, but I sure did seem to do alot of other evils to make up for it. I don't know how or why but around ages 36-40 I changed completely and now I suffer from post stupidity trauma. I'm not saying that that will happen to him. However I will tell you that the majority of his life's problems are going to have to be realized and dealt with on his own. The best you can do is support him and make suggestion. As we say in certain recovery groups, just try to plant a seed in that person and maybe it will grow.

Good luck, I know how a persons actions can effect everyone around them. Its a sad affair.

I think your mother's behavior probably had some influence on him but not entirely, my parents are saints, but my surroundings and piers in Detroit (a not too good of a place for children) were overwhelming. Without those influences I probably wouldn't have been so deviant but I kind of was drawn to dangerous activity, in fact I wallowed it. So I think it's a combination influences and the intrigue to pursue those avenues. Not everyone in the hood chose to take the path I did and some took it much further, those people are either dead or in prison now.

He does have a problem and probably is damaged. I hope the DART program can help.
I'm sorry, but my thought is, I wonder how many ppl he will hurt before he hits bottom and accepts help. He is destructive to himself and innocent ppl around him.
It sounds as though he needs medication and serious help.
Could he be bi polar?
