I am trying to format it or find anything that I can do to just reset the thing so that I can use it again.

I put the flashdrive in and it says that its there but when I click on it it does not do anything. I can not right click on it. If I left click on it it says that there it is not accessible.

Hi. If you can afford to lose the data, just click on 'My Computer", select the flash drive and click 'Format'. Double check (double check) that you have the right drive!

Unsafely removing drives wont damage it.

it just means any stuff you may of uploaded or removed from it could be invalid.

When you put a file to a usb drive, it will "say" its copied, But it actually hasnt.

It only copys it when you click REMOVE! eveything stays in ram until then.

So if you UNsafely remove, It just means that changes you have made to the drive since you plugged it in may not of actaully been carried out.

Could you elaborate a bit more....what happens when you put it in.......Is it a sandisk cruzer jumpdrive or a different brand?
If you plug it in.......then open my computer.....there should be a new drive there under "removable storage" right click on it and click "Format" then click "start format" and it should format it.
