The poor were all against the monarchy, and they were killed because of the French Revolution.
Marie Antoinette and her husband Louis were very young when they were crowned, and Louis was influenced by others.
And Marie, as every young girl, just wanted to have fun, and because of that, people thought she didn't care about other people. They even spread the rumor that she said that infamous quote "Let them eat cake". Well, that was only a rumor, I don't believe she was that insensitive.
They were young and naive about ruling the whole France, and the fate put them to rule during the French Revolution...it was a tragedy.

Rocketb3 has it pretty much right, but Marie Antoinette's daughter, Marie Therese, became Duchess of Angouleme, not Queen. She had no children. Marie Antoinette's son, called Louis XVII although he never reigned, died in prison in 1795. The site listed below provides plenty of information about her.

her children didn't get put to death. you still have marie theresa who became futher queen. m. antoinette got her head cut off because it was during the french revolution. the poors were against the bourgeoisie as well as the monarchy. louis xiv had originally spent all or most of his money on lavish things and the building of versaille. louis xvi, his grandson, and marie were beheaded for being incompetent rulers. they were too young and they spent most of the states money leaving little for the poor. that casued and uprising and they were captured and beheaded

women human beings - and adult men with long hair - approximately to be beheaded had their hair shrink or tucked right into a cap reckoning on the custom of the time. Britain's beheaded royals - Mary of Scotland, Anne Boleyn, Catherine Howard, Jane gray and Charles I - all used a cap to incorporate the hair. In France they shrink the hair off.

Well, she wasn't the only one to go to the guillotine. Her husband, Louis XVI, and her children all were put to death as well during the French Revolution to ensure that they couldn't attempt to come back to power.
