Think of it this way - a bacteria can catch a virus (there are some viruses that ONLY affect bacteria) but a virus cannot catch a bacteria.
Bacteria are cells. They carry out all the functions of life on their own. And while some of them infect people, some of them just go about their business on their own and have nothing to do with us. Some bacteria are even helpful to us and other creatures - they live in yoghurt and our stomach to help us digest food we can't eat and help provide nutrients for plants and breakdown waste in the environment.
Viruses on the other hand ONLY infect other things. On their own, there more like a chemical than a living thing. They do have DNA or RNA like bacteria, and some of them have cell membranes, but they don't have any of the other parts we're used to seeing in a cell. This makes them really small... tiny even to most other bacteria. Whether they are living or not depends on the precise definition of 'alive' that you use - some biologists consider viruses to be alive, while others do not.
Hope that helps!

Viruses (nonliving) are much smaller than bacteria(living). They depend on a host for survival, whereas bacteria are independent. Bacteria will attack a cell. Viruses infiltrate them, altering a normal cell's genetic material. When the cell is invaded, it will begin to replicate the virus instead of producing healthy cells.
Bacterial infections can be fought with antibiotics. Viruses do not respond to most antibiotics. Antiviral medications, vaccinations, and the immune system of the body are the only known defenses for combatting a virus.
Bacteria can be good and bad. The human body contains many beneficial forms of bacteria that provide a means of protection against harmful bacteria.
The structure of bacteria is complexed compared to that of a virus. In other words, it has more "body parts" than a virus.

Bacteria are living microorganisms. Bacteria live almost everywhere, including on and in our bodies. Bacterial cells are prokaryotic, meaning they have no nucleus in their cells.
Viruses are not living, nor are they cells.. they are basically DNA or RNA surrounded by a protein coat. or in some cases an envelope. They cannot grow or reproduce, replicate, etc, without a host cell. They have to use our machinery in our cells to make more copies of themselves.
Both viruses and Bacteria can make you very sick, and both can kill you!! there are many illnesses/ infections with both bacteria and viruses. ........one important thing to know is some bacteria , most bacteria are good for us and the envionment.......but there are quite a few that are pathogenic(meaning capability of causing disease). Hope this helps.

Viruses are tiny geometric structures that could purely reproduce interior a living cellular. they vary in length from 20 to 250 nanometers (one nanometer is one billionth of a meter). exterior of a living cellular, a deadly disease is dormant, yet as quickly as interior, it takes over the factors of the host cellular and starts off the production of extra virus debris. Viruses are extra equivalent to mechanized bits of suggestions, or robots, than to animal existence. while, micro organism are one-celled living organisms. the traditional bacterium is a million,000 nanometers long. (If a bacterium have been my length, a typical virus particle could look as though a tiny mouse-robotic. If an generic virus have been my length, a bacterium may be the size of a dinosaur over ten memories tall. micro organism and viruses are no longer friends!) All micro organism are surrounded by using a cellular wall. they are able to reproduce independently, and inhabit very pretty much each and every surroundings on earth, alongside with soil, water, warm springs, ice packs, and the bodies of flora and animals. maximum micro organism are danger unfastened to human beings. fairly, many are fairly advantageous. The micro organism in the surroundings are necessary for the breakdown of organic and organic waste and the recycling of factors in the biosphere. micro organism that regularly stay in human beings can ward off infections and convey factors we choose, alongside with diet ok. micro organism in the stomachs of cows and sheep are what enable them to digest grass. micro organism additionally are necessary to the production of yogurt, cheese, and pickles. some micro organism reason infections in human beings. fairly, they're a devastating reason for human ailment.

Bacteria is a living cellular organism that usually exists in colonies. Viruses aren't living organisms. They are mearly shells with some dna or rna inside that use your cellular structure to multiply.
