im paying £17.99 a month for 1mb broadband and i have a friend who told me they pay the same and have 4mb broadband??! (same internet provider) what does everyone else pay and what internet speed have you got? also how do i go about getting an upgrade as i find this very unfair.

I pay £22 per month for virgin abit bigger than yours speed wise, then about a month after there was a spacial offer for the same as mine for a less price, there's nothing you can do as you have signed the contract, i don't think its fair

I had upgraded to 4mb after being on 1mb.

It will cost me about £24.00 I think, but you get the protection free, you may as well upgrade.. I dont have the telly or the phone.

just ring customer services (151 if you have virgin phone too) and ask if you are on the right package for your needs as you have friends paying less - just ask them. they gave doubled my 1mb to 2mb and gave me a discount too. The worse thay can do is say no!

im with virgin but Im not sure im paying that. I pay £34 for 1mb, landline phone and tv..... either way ur mate wont be getting 4 mb.... not in the UK anyway.... its a sales ploy!!

it all depends on where you are and how many people use the phone line when ur on so they can not garanty a certain speed

swap to another provider... then, later swap back.. you will get a better deal... rubbish but that the way the system works !!

we have Virgin BB but i dunno what speed and i dunno what we pay... should i knw stuff like this ???

and if so - why ?
