That's funny. I think it's the sound that they have. For example, the instruments and the beat sounds they use. If you listen to certain songs closely, you can tell that it sounds similar but it's not the same beat. As for reggaeton songs that actually have the same beat, it's kind of like reggae songs that use the same riddim.
