It is 18 in the United States. I just turned 18 a couple of days ago, so I am a legal adult. There are a lot of people of course that are 18 and act like a 12 year old. Oh, well.

The legal adult age in the U.S. is 18, but I really didn't feel like an adult until I turned 30.

In the United States, it's not entirely clear. You can buy porn, cigs, and vote for the next administration at 18... But you've already had the "right" to die for your country for two years. Furthermore, you don't get to drink until you're 21. Dying = "a-ok", drinking = "sin of all sins, wait until you're older". So it's not entirely clear.

Speaking from personal experience, I was about 15 or 16 when I came into my own, so I guess that's when I became an adult. It's nothing that the books recognize, but they've never been consistent anyway.

I think that adulthood is a state of mind. Some people never reach adulthood, some 14 year olds are mature enough to be called "adults". It all depends on the individual.

Some are never grown up--some are real men and real women at 13--the law has nothing to do with an age-as far as bieng an adult--If you are looking for an easy fix # --sorry cant help you--responsibility--thats the age of adulthood

Legally 18
Although I have to say I have met plenty of people over that age who act like children.
And some people under that age who are very sophisticated.

depends onthe maturity of the person... just going by age I would say 21 there isn't anything you can't do at that point except run for president.

18 year old here in the good ol' US of A. BUT.....the basis for it seems a mystery....18 year olds are not mature.

18, I think people should start getting their sh1t together at that age too
My 23 y/o ex would lie, cheat, play games, and say "I'm just a kid", it bugged the hell out of me, he was NOT just a kid, he was an immature, directionless man mocking his life.
