Any jail time for this
brittany and jake get into car with a guy and a girl. The guy in the car punches the girl in the face. So jake makes the guy stop the car....and jake beat him up. The guy got stitches.
However, the guy is blaming brittany for this, and brittany dosent want to turn in her boyfriend. So will she get jail time or what can happen? Can i help prove shes innocent?

he's trying to pin it on her so that he can "not press charges" so she owes him something. if you step in and say someone else did it...then its tough to say what they'll do. you need to find "jake" and have him confess. why wouldn't he. if he says he did it because the other guy punched a girl in the face he'll get off pretty easy (even though the courts and police won't admit it...he'll get off). i don't know why jake wouldn't confess. he should be bragging.

Sounds as if the only thing Brittany did wrong was to get in the car with a bunch of losers.
So, if I understand correctly, this other guy is saying he got beat up by a girl? For one, the cops don't buy that story very often, and for another, if she really punched him, she'd likely have broken skin or at least bruising on her hand(s). The cops would see the damage on her boyfriend's hand, and know that he's the one who was in the fight.
If she lies to the police and tries to keep her boyfriend from going to jail, she could be charged with aiding and abetting a criminal, which could bring jail time for her.

You need to tell the police what happened if you were there. If not you need to let this girl tell them what happened on her own and try to work something out with the courts. Even though the guy probably deserved it, Jake probably shouldn't have beat him up. Good luck.
