My husband says it's good to do this every once in a while. So, I do... It does something to push something.. I'm a girl, I don't know but he tells me it's good every once in a while to get things kicking...
EDIT... okay okay, I don't know... Don't thumb me down.. i was just simply saying what my husband tells me to do, I'm a good wife..... I won't do it anymore.. Gosh.. Sorry don't listen to what i said..

It aint good but if u racing someone then u gotta do it, the best thing to do is, floor it a little bit and when u begin to pik up speed, jerk your speed pedal, u'll feel the car getting an extra push, u'll go faster.

You can possibly break an engine part or screw up your
engine/emissions system. What you're really doing is wasting
gas ($3.00+ a gallon) and eventually you may have to over-
utilize your braking system to slow down in an emergency.
A traffic ticket will cure all of these bad habits.

You can throw a rod through the engine if you red line the tach on take off from start to high speed. Always be consistant when accelerating to prevent this from happening and watch your tachometer.
