In all seriousness, I think it might be in his best interest to sit out the 08 season. I know that he doesnt have time to burn considering that his knees are a ticking time bomb, but no team would be willing to touch him going into spring training. I hope he doesnt get desperate and pull a Canseco and sign for 500,00 somewhere, because he deserves better than that.
I'm thinking that he'll sit out atleast half the season and then re-evaluate. I hope he doesnt retire....and I hope he doesnt go to Oakland.

No team will touch a player with a federal indictment ...especially one who would want in the area of $10+ million for one season. Someone would have signed him before the indictment, but now there is absolutely no way it happens - bank on it.

Either Oakland, Anaheim, Texas or Seattle. He has more longevity to play if he's the team's DH. He would not have to wear his body out by playing a position.
