I give a smile and a few nice words every time I get the chance. It can make my day, when I've had nothing but problems and want to cry until someone smiles at me and says something kind, I'll never be able to repay all the people who have done that for me, there is not enough smiles in the world to do for them what they have done for me.

There is "a word of encouragement" which is more like a phrase and can have the same effect.

Yes, I do believe that. I think just an acknowledgment can work wonders.
Oh and yes. I always try to say kind words to people, it makes me feel better too.

I totally believe that. I have experienced that a lot. Sometimes a hug with no words can make somebody feel better than anything else.
