Nerve endings respond to touch in the skin by sending electrical impulses to the brain via the spinal chord. In the brain, sensation receptor areas interpret the impulses as pleasureable and chemical centres are stimulated to release hormones (sex hormones). Once in the bloodstream, the hormones effect organs, such as the blood vessels in skin(dilation of vessels in lips), the penis/ vagina - and local responses associated with sexual activity continue. The whole thing happens on a continuous loop as long as there is stimulation (positive feedback loop) - so the more you snog/rub/ lick one another, the more effects you get.
Sounds so raunchy in it's biochemical form, eh?
