No. It's not normal behavior in Islam. You have to keep in mind that the terrorists who carried out the first attack on the World Trade Center in February of 1993 were all carrying Sudanese passports.

Islam doesn't HATE westeners, as someone put it in one of the answers, cause firstly it's not hate and secondly it's not against people from occidental countries. The Islamic religion doesn't impugnate capitalism, or occidental way of life, but it does refute other religions (in a more strong way than others, cause all religions claim they're the tru religion). Islamic countries and governments, moved by many things apart from their religious beliefs (ie.money) may be "responsible" for many actions that contradict "the religion of peace"(where did you get that from, anyway?I'm not putting it in doubt, just curious). Anyway, there is a more extremist group of Islam and another which beliefs in the interpretation of what the Coran says, can't remember their names though.

Most wouldn't do it themselves but if Westerners are the target, they except it because they are taught from childhood to hate Westerners by their governments. Separation of Church and state, Separation of powers, are things that our for fathers made as part of the basis of our democratic government to prevent a society controlled by a few or a religion.
