I THOUGHT THAT IT MIGHT BE THE CORE SO I PERCHASED ONE AND JUST THOUGHT IDE CHECK BEFORE PUTTING IT ON, BECAUSE THE PAPERWORK THAT CAME WITH IT SAID IT WAS FOR COOLING SYSTEM, THAT JUST SEEMED A LITTLE OFF TO ME.

Ahhh a 62 chev. question. Great cars of there time. Best heater in the world. Well if your heater is working that is. Be sure to lube the lever lines up. Check under dash to be sure the tubes are still hooked up. Some times those cars the blower tubes would fall off. Also be sure that your lever is working fine. Have fun with the car.

seems everyone is telling you its the heater core, well maybe, but have you checked the antifreeze level? If it is low, it will blow cold air as no coolant can get to core. Also check core hoses, they might be bypassed and if so then no coolant, no warm air.
