If a phone call were to be permitted by the law enforcement folks, and she made the call, she would impress some people. If she did not make the call, she would suffer a tremendous 'back lash' !!
I would LOVE to hear an uncensored recording of such a call, and view her body language while talking to this perpetrator.

She is really between a rock and a hard place. A phone call to the guy would be in order. If he goes off the deep end then she did what she could. If he releases them after the call she is somewhat of a hero. If she does nothing and the hostages are hurt of killed she looks bad.

Hard to say.
She may not even be allowed by the Police to speak to the terrorist.
Nice quips in some of these answers, I call them support for the terrorist.

It is most likely a stunt by hillary to gain sympathy points for her campaign. I think she knew about it before it happened.

Well, she does say that terrorists will start liking America if we just sit down and talk to them, and understand where they are coming from.
It will be interesting to see if she can walk her talk.
