Can anybody think of any names relevant to Christmas? Not Jesus, Mary etc, more like "Joy", "Carol", "Noel", "Nicolas".

Thanks!

PS: It's boy-girl twins, so any TWIN Christmassy names would be fantastic. :D

OK ...

Joy - Holly - Josephine - Noelle - Gabrielle - Christine/ Christina - Nicole - Caroline - Charlotte - Stephanie

Joseph - Christian - Nicholas - Noel - Gabriel - Charles/ Carl (can also be Carol in Germanic languages) - Caspar - Melchior - Balthazaar - Stephen

Personally, I'd be avoiding Christmas names like the plague - had a school friend Carole born 24/12 and she hated it

I think I'd go for Caroline and Stephen or
maybe Charlotte and Nicholas or
possibly Joy and Caspar

They seem a bit less "obvious" but are really nice names

Nollaig, Natalia or Natalie all refer to Christmas or Christmas day. Eira, Eirwen and Gwyneira/Gweneira all have meanings related to snow.

Honestly, however, those are the only sort of "Christmassy" names I'd even consider. Something like Mary Christmas, Holly Noelle, Christmas Carol or Winter Snow are just overly-literal, predictable holiday fodder that only manages to come across as needlessly cheesy around Christmastime, and oddly out-of-place and poorly-thought-out the other 11 months of the year. I wouldn't recommend it.

Likewise, even simply the overused, predictable middle name Noelle -- seemingly given to 95% of baby girls born in December LOL -- has become incredibly tiresome. After all, the month of birth shouldn't necessarily dictate what default middle name the poor child is given. Just use names you actually LOVE, independent of the season! ;)
