He does....I am horrible with money and he should have taken care of the bills from the beginning.....we would be much better off if I hadn't.
Money is a funny thing with people. It is still important to have honest communication with what money you both have or don't have. Just because one person watches the accounts and bills doesn't mean the other person get off free from being responsible or real about the situation.
A nice practice is to sit down each pay period. BOTH look at the list of bills, talk about what extra money is needed for things and why. Agree on an amount each can spend freely. And stick to the agreement.... then repeat next pay period. Over time....both of you will understand each others spending better and hopefully be working towards the same financial goals.

I do, as I am very insistant on paying bills on time. We both work, so both of our paychecks go right into the bank and I pay the bills. We each just need a little money for the week.

The bills got paid here today and I paid them, but I was out and near a bank, It could have just as easily been her paying them.
What happens here is a list gets made up around the 25th of the month, whoever is going to be handy to a bank pays the bills out of the joint account.

I am an accountant and I count beans for living, so I don't mind taking care of our finances. Honestly, I even love it and he hates it. So it works out perfectly.
I use a computer software to track down all the bills and make all the payments.

We both pay equally the mutual bills, like the mortage, utilities, home improvements, but we pay our own car payments, credit cards, etc. His personal bills are higher, so I usually pay for the trips we go on... it works out pretty evenly. However, we don't have a joint account - that seems to work out for the best.

I do. He asks how much money I need and I take care of everything. I dont mind it one bit. It would be too confusing having 2 people trying to figure that out and balance 2 checkbooks.

I bring home the bacon, she cooks it. Actually, she's terrible with the money, but I'm never home to take care of it, so I tell her what to pay and when, and give her a budget to work within.

Paying them- me. I plug all of them into a calender and pay throughout the month. I take care of all the finances. I don't even think he knows the password to log into our bank online.
