Probably the US, and I think it is already happening. We are DEEP in debt as a nation, and have little to offer the world anymore - no natural resources to speak of, no great pool of scientific talent, no "democratic" philosophy that any one wants to hear - all we have is guns and bombs. But so do alot of other nations, and they are getting sick of us pushing them around. I think we will be destroyed as a nation by the thing that has already destroyed our morals and ethics : the almighty dollar. It brought us to the top of the world, and as it falls, so shall we...

Mostly of the Empires from the Greeks to the British
went down, due to their own wrong doings. When you
intend to rule other countries without its people consent
it doesn't take you very far. a few years, and them , down
you go. Now it is the turn to de U.S.A. although their
empire was based more in their "Dollar"than in their
credibility. After the second world war, mostly of the World
needed its help, So... "Shut up"and took all its crap.
Now things are very different. The world doesn't need
their dollar so much, neither their help, and obviously do
not take their crap. So...their power, empire,or superiority
is comming down. ..no mercy...That is part of the world
which We live in. Everybody gets its turn, the U.S.A. turn
is almost here, and there is no place to return to. But...there
are many old "scars" everywere, and same of them will
return with revenge....Ask to the Japanese and others.

there is no real Empire to compare the empires of the past to, such as the Roman Empire, and Egypt, these kings controlled a lot of land sometime continents at a time.
Some experts say the United States is going to fall apart in the next 100- 125 years but i think its a bunch of crap, i say its China, becaue the whole world will wake up and start making there own stuff.

There are no real empires now, so its kinda' hard for them to fall.
As for there being another global empire, doesn't look like it. They just keep getting smaller and smaller as nations split.

Well, we currently have the Anglo-American Empire, so there's your answer. And believe me - it will fall.

i think the whole world one day might be control by the United States of America now thats the real Empire of the world,look at our military power there's no one like us in wealth and military and pride.

Hmmmmmmmm, while I hate to say it or even 'think' it.....We of the USA are headed for a bad downturn.....
A 'FALL', as in Rome, I'm not sure, Rome lasted 1000 years but, we are headed to becoming a 3rd. World country, close!
Looking back on the last years, rising prices, failing economy, the market, housing costs and foreclousers, corrupt Gov't officials, banking dilemmas...........AND last but, not least...what leaders do we have to coose from in 2008?
We as a once great nation are in 'deep do-do'!
just MY HUMBLE OPINION, that is.
