Do you ever notice in scary movies, the people are always whispering. Like when the kid says : I see dead people. Why is he whispering? The ghosts can hear whether you whisper or not.

I don;t think its the whispering but the reason behind it. Its like the kid has a dark secert he does not want to say out loud or that he is afraid to say.
