The only people that can answer 'should he be in the hall of fame' is the people that hold those ballots.
If the question is 'should he be eligible to be on the voter's card', I think the answer is yes.

Baseball was naive enough or greedy enough to let this problem escalate. They can't push for actual testing, they give players LOTS of notice before they collect samples.

Fans are overly impressed with home runs, media runs wild bowing to popular opinion and as long as fans are willing to pick up the bill for these average people to earn millions of dollars a year, they will bend the rules, in various degrees, to make that fortune.

We really want them to inspire for lots of home runs, so, if that means money, some will cheat

He deserves to get inducted into the HOF. If he did not take any drugs, his numbers would have been at least 150-200 less runs, hr's or hits, but those totals would still be good enough to get voted in.

I hope that when he retires, he will be inducted on the 1st ballot.

Everyone else has that ignorant opinion that he cheated, but so did hundreds of other pro sports athletes, but no one is chasing after them because they are not record breakers like Barry is. It's just a cheap witchhunt occurring and the US Govt. should be ashamed for picking on only one single athlete and not the entire bunch.

He should. many of the pitchers he has faced in the past 15 years are hopped up on HGH/roids, as well. He is not the only one, just the most prominent
(If McGuire had lasted longer/started sooner, he might be the one we're talking about now, and I doubt the argument would be as loud, if not for his incoherent testimony before Congress).

There are worse men in the hall now (including one of the inaugural inductees). They are in there for the baseball prowess, not due to their humanity or reasoning prowess.
BTW, Pete Rose belongs in the Hall, as well.

No they ought to not placed an astersik next to his call. not something would desire to be taken away the two. he's a great participant and not stupid. there remains no information that he used steroids. Its basically the media blowing issues up like they continuously do. The media is stupid not Barry. till he's shown accountable, his stats would desire to nonetheless stand and all and sundry would desire to supply the guy a destroy jesus, not one of the different gamers who have been discovered accountable of steroids are taken care of like Barry.

No, he's a sham, Pete Rose betted on baseball, not cheated on baseball records. He should be allowed in, but Barry's records are bogus.
